Environment and landscape
Big Tree Plant - 2012/2015
We planted new trees in LB Lewisham, as part of the Big Tree Plant in the UK, to help combat CO2 emissions and improve our environment.
Our planting locations are on Pepys estate, Deptford; Longton Nursery, Sydenham; and Magnolia Garden on Evelyn Street, Deptford.
Outdoor Structures
Potting Shed and new Evelyn Bed parterre
In 2013/14, our volunteers designed and built our own new Potting Shed, as an extension to our existing poly tunnel. Giving us the ability to better propagate our own plants and seeds.
Summer 2024 worked with contractors for the Greening Fund to create a new Evelyn Bed parterre at the front space of our Garden. Moving the entrance gate to a new central position with horizontal and vertical pathways and an elliptical overall shape. Creating a formal design for both easier access and management.
